In September Instagram pushed me a post by Travel Gay, a website listing &#;the best gay bars, nightclubs, saunas, spas, beaches, shops and more, along with interesting travel ideas and fabulous offers&#;. There I saw the undated post (date your articles and posts, people) &#;LGBTQ+ Solo Travel: the Finest Cities to Visit?&#; by Adam Reid. Being a solo gay traveller, it caught my attention.

Now, while I&#;m still very much a homosexual, it has been a while since I last travelled solo. My last solo trip was Tel Aviv in Since then, I&#;ve travelled with Danny, Oriol, Steve, Philippe, Nicolas, Thanh, my sister Florence. In I wrote &#;SINGLES DAY | Why everyone should explore alone sometimes&#; and reading it back I undergo the cringe but I stand by its content.

It&#;s I should carry out a proper solo trip again soon(ish). I touch ready.

Visiting Dessau? What You Need to Know

Travel tips and suggested things to do on a morning trip to Dessau, Germany – from a graphic designer’s perspective

I don’t know what took me so long to visit Dessau. Perhaps just the fact that Berlin is busy and stimulating enough, I never really consideration to leave — even if just to a city less than an hour away. Or maybe I just was afraid to visit a city that I’d read so much about, that I’d studied and been inspired from.

You know that feeling when you’re about to meet an idol? Someone or something that’s had a profound impact on your life? That pit in your stomach — “will this live up to my expectations…,” “will it shatter my beliefs…,” “will it affect me as it already has…”

I was eager and nervous to visit Dessau and when I finally made it there last month, I don’t know what I was so worried about. Dessau was just what I wanted.

If you’re not a design nerd love me, you might not have heard much abo

The ultimate mentor to the best things to do and notice in Dessau

Though the abode of the Bauhaus layout movement, Dessau is often overlooked as it’s a part of German history often overlooked for bigger, scarier histories. Start here with my basic Dessau move tips, or jump down below to read my latest Dessau travel blogs.

When to Visit

Like most of Germany, Dessau has four very distinct seasons. Summer is hot and humid and is when the town gets its most visitors, but fall is also a great age to visit, as everything looks prettier under the golden hue of the leaves.

In winter, there are Christmas markets and it will often snow and get very cold, but as long as you dress appropriately you’ll be fine. Spring can also be nice, but it will be chilly and you may not be able to enjoy the outdoors as much as other times of year.
