"Jan 08, – Twitter was set a blaze on January 6th when The H8terade Blog announced that R&B singer Omarion was gay. Today Omarion, 26, made his only official statement.

I am not at all what certain ex-band members are trying to illustrate me as, I am however a respectable, mature, proud, bisexual man.”

Apryl Jones revealed that she only connected &#;Love And Hip-Hop&#; with R&#;B superstar Omarion to help dispel rumors about his sexuality. It has been in circulation for years that the former B2K band member could be gay, but that rumor has remained just that. Omarion and Apryl&#;s relationship was acknowledged in the first two seasons of Love &#; Hip Hop Hollywood. They welcomed their son Megaa after season one, and their daughter, A&#;mei, was born not long after they left the show.

While he was in Japan last weekend, someone sent out a press let go via the site PRLOG with an alleged statement from Omarion which claimed he was bi-sexual. Of course, Omarion took to his Twitter just moments later to unmistakable up the rumors.

After a fake press release declaring Omarionwas bisexual circulated the Internet Saturday (Jan. 8), the R&B crooner called in to DJFunkmaster Flex's Hot 97 radio show last night to set the tape straight regarding his sexuality. 

Flex offered Omarion a platform to argue the release, which was sent by a fictitious public relations representative by the name of Sharron Wright. "First and top let me say, I did not release that statement," the singer said. "You know, whatever people like is their business but I'm not gay or bisexual. I love women and that's just what it is."

The former B2K member, who caught wind of the news while in Japan, was angered at the way several media outlets handled the fake statement without verifying sources. Due to the shocking information revealed in the press release, Omarion also became a Trending Topic on Twitter.

"I know Twitter's fun and we all have our moments and we joke around, but I'm looking at this as people have to start doing their research a little bit more &#; especially with celebrities and superstars," Omarion
