Locke and Key celestial body Connor Jessup is opening up about his newly revealed relationship with Miles Heizer.
Jessup, who's been dating Heizer for about 18 months, said falling in love with the Reasons Why star is what gave him the courage to enter out publicly as gay on his 25th birthday last year.
“I'll spare you the tedious story of how we met because it's truly unexciting, but I will say — not to get sappy — that the other factor that led to me deciding to show up out, and I guess maybe one of the sparks at the commencing of the fuse, was that I fell in love,” Jessup told UK's Attitude Magazine for its April cover story. “When you're happy, you yearn to be joyful publicly, and it made me assess about the whole construction of my life in a way that I had been avoiding. Here's what I found about their standards on outing people.
[quote] A person's gender and sexuality is intimate to who they are and how that impacts their personal and professional life will vary. Extreme care should be taken to escape undue weight focusing on these aspects in relation to the overall article. A statement "Smith is openly gay" may be all that is needed in many cases unless it can be tied to how it impacted Smith's career or existence. Sometimes the fact that a person has reach out is noteworthy itself, but it should be reported in the article dispassionately and neutrally: "In May , in an interview with ABC News, Smith came out as transgender." It is supportive to readers to attach the context, especially in the form of statements from the subject.
